We had previously built a demountable partitioned meeting room for the customer, and were happy to help them again on this project.

The customer wanted to separate different departments. The first thing we did was to explore how the office would work if we fitted a new demountable office, but because of the size of the office we decided this wouldn’t be suitable. We therefore came up with the idea of having a freestanding demountable 50mm wide partition to be a screen between the departments.

One hurdle we had to overcome was the strength of the wall. As it would only be fixed at one end and freestanding the other, our fitter came up with a way of strengthening the fixing to the floor and ceiling.
